Internal Marketing

Focusing on internal communication solutions for your business.

My work ethic / philosophy :

I believe in the development ethic - sustained, progressive business that builds for the future. I am serious about social responsibility. In other words, I will deliver your work on time and to the absolute best of my ability because I believe that work is not just about my paycheck, but about building for the future. Flash in the pan quick money is not my style. Consistency, relationship and service (in the true sense of the word) is. Service means I serve. I hope to give you work that you can trust, and rely on. Not because that's the right thing to say, but because I honestly believe that's the way I should live.

Internal Marketing?

"Internal Marketing" is about your internal business image, and is something that many businesses do not focus on very much (if at all.) A great internal image results in happy staff, which results in excellent service.

So?

It goes further than that as well. Internal communication is about encouraging the staff in the company's vision, values and mission.

These three important parts of a company are essentially what keeps it going. After all, the staff of your company are the engine of the entire organisation. If they are unhappy, your service suffers - and it suffers badly.

As important as money is, studies show that once a person is financially satisfied their desires evolve to needing to feel as if they're a PART of something - that they are making a difference, part of a greater vision etc.

We all think differently, with different goals, philosophies of life, needs etc. Some people are genuinely happy with just a salary, and don't care much for the vision and mission of the company. But these kind of staff members are generally not very keen to go further than just the borders of their responsibilities and working life. Some are not very helpful, either, when it comes to teamwork or moving the company forward. You need people with vision, and this vision needs to line up with the vision of the company.

Sometimes, we have a tendency to blame the lack of vision from staff on their own personality issues. But the problem is actually the culture of the company - and the culture is formed by the leaders of the company (Upper Management.) These may be brilliant at what they do, highly enthusiastic, and very positive, but their attitude fails to rub off on their staff... not because of a lack of skills, but because of a lack of internal communication that inspires and engages the staff the way the leaders of the company would like.
