Copy Editing and Copywriting
The Difference
The difference between the two is that Copywriting is when I work from scratch (strictly speaking) based on your needs, whereas Copy Editing is editing already written material.
My job is to take what you've got - perhaps a write-up, an article, either for a publication or on-line needs, and spice it up with my editing techniques. To make it appetizing, appealing, impressive and engaging.
Proofreading is a slightly different art as that covers grammar, spelling and eloquence.
The Menu Prices:
My pricing is very flexible and I generally like to charge per project. But this is to give you a general idea:
Copywriting / writing (Articles etc.)
Hourly rate : $15.00 (USD) per hour (R130.00 per hour)
Per word rate : $.20c (USD) per word (R1.20 per word)
As I generally like to charge per project, it's better to contact me on email (ryan at ryanpeterwrites.com.)
Copy Editing has to be priced at your particular needs, and I generally don't charge per word due to the nature of the work.
